Specifications
The Osaki 7124-S, 9124-SK1, 7177-S and 9177-SKI assure exceptional quality and durability in a variety of metering applications. Each meter is made with a cyclometer register of five rollers drawn from aluminum sheet, a register frame of nickel-plated brass, brass gears, and stainless steel shafts. The lightweight aluminum rollers minimize error and variation when loads are light. The single-pole brake magnet is designed with micro adjustment and made of tempered steel for stability against external magnetic fields and short circuits.
Remote Reading Capability
The Osaki KI Reed Switch, a factory-installed option, changes the 7000 series meters (7124-S and 7177-S) to 9000 series (9124-SKI and 9177-SK1) by providing remote reading capability. The KI provides a contact closure output from the meter, which allows kilowatt hour usage to be read electronically. The KI is compatible with most automatic meter reading systems.

Complete Metering system package
Osaki meters are shipped as a complete metering package which includes a rain-proof enclosure, face plate and ANSI-standard current transformer. The enclosure is made of 20-guage steel and painted with beige industrial enamel. The 7124 is available in a single enclosure or two or three gang enclosures. Single enclosure shown.

Double 8.5" 12.125" 4.5"
3-Gang 8.5" 17.75" 4.5"

120V, 1 phase, 2-wire Connection

Notes:
  1. When using 120 Volts for potential, the meter constant must be doubled. This can be accomplished by either double-wrapping the 120V wire as shown, or using a multiplier of 2 on the meter reading. (USE ONLY ONE OF THESE METHODS)
  2. After installation is complete, check rotation of meter disc (see arrows on meter) If rotation is incorrect, reverse rotation by swapping CT leads 1S and 1L.

Caution: For continued protection against fire, replace only with fuse of the specified voltage and current ratings. Fuses must be connected with red wire to line voltage and black wire to energy monitor.

240V, 1 phase, 3-wire Connection

Notes:
  1. Wires are crossed through the CT, each entering from the opposite direction.
  2. Rotation of disc is left-to-right when facing the meter. To "correct" disc rotation, reverse leads from the CT at meter terminals.
  3. The CT dot will not be considered when using this hookup. Phasing of meter is accomplished through disc rotation inspection. (see note 2)
