Concert Review

Artist: Bob Dylan
Where/When: 7:30pm January 28, 1998 at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse
Tickets: $25.50 each------concert was sold out
Overview:
Though scheduled to start at 7:30pm, Bob Dylan greeted the anticipating crowd at around 8:15pm. Bob Dylan was rumored to have the flu so everyone was sympathetic and not angry at the delay.
Dylan started off the concert with his great guitar playing skills and an exciting light show. I was very surprised to hear the change in the sound of Dylan's music. Back in the 60's Dylan was know for his slow tempo, folk music accompanied by his harmonica. That night Dylan's sound was more on the bluesy side accompanied by guitars and drums.
The concert seemed to go very fast as I was awaiting to hear some of the older songs that I listen to. Though many of my favorites were not played, I was glad to hear some good ones such as,
"Like a Rolling Stone", "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35"  and "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands". At around 9:30pm, after the three encores, the concert was over.
Looking back on the concert, I guess it was a good performance, but it probably wasn't the same as in the 60's.

Have you ever watched a movie and actually placed yourself into someone else's character? Have you ever dreamed about a movie with you in it? Have you ever been so touched by a movie, weeks afterwards you still remember almost every word from it?
As I was walking into the theater I wondered whether or not I was going to like the movie Titanic. It was more than three hours of sitting on my butt. Yet people told me how good the movie was. As I was watching the movie, I realized this was a movie for anyone.
When Jack first saw Rose, I felt the magic inside. And when Rose tried to jump off the back of the Titanic, and Jack said, "If you jump, I jump", a tear fell from my eye. Once they realized how they felt towards each other, Rose thought they couldn't be together. Not only because Rose was engaged, but also because society separated them. While Rose was a first class maiden, Jack was a lower class cheap shot who only got on the Titanic because of a lucky card game. Fate brought them together, as it has an odd way of making things that are meant to be really happen.
A love so strong, you know is meant to be forever. And they were together forever, in their hearts. But as I watched hundred of people die, I was devastated. Tears poured down my cheeks. It took my breath away. I have never seen anything as drastic as this before.
Rose made a promise to Jack to survive the sinking of the Titanic. Jack died on Rose's arms while she sang to him, scared to death. Rose lived a long life with the heart of the ocean by her side and Jack in her heart. But when she eventually died of old age, she was reunited with Jack and all of the victims of Titanic.
I was so moved by this movie, with the whole concept of the Titanic, I went out to buy the soundtrack. And I still listen to it every day, all the time. Every time I hear the theme song to Titanic, by Celine Dion, my heart actually stops beating.
It was then I realized that Titanic was the best movie I had ever seen before. Nothing has ever stuck in my mind like this. This is the type of movie you could see over and over again and be moved by the movie every time. The movie really touched my heart and my soul and made me cry. I'll never forget the movie Titanic and the victims of this tragedy.
In conclusion, if you haven't seen the movie yet, go see it. You really don't know what your missing. And if you have seen it, go see it again.
