WHO'S WHO? By: Stephen Dunn
Since 1967; Who's Who Among American High School Students has been honoring outstanding students for their achievements in academics; athletics; school and community service. When they started; they recognized 13,000 students from 4,000 high schools. This year it honors 729,838 high school students, representing 18,000 out of 22,000 high schools nation wide. To be submitted, you must be nominated by a teacher or a person from the community for your achievements. When I got a form to see if I was qualified to be in Who's Who, I thought it was a good way to show how smart you actually are and maybe try to encourage other people to do better in school. It also looks good on a Collage Resume. When I received my book with people from all over, I was amazed. While looking through it I found a lot of people from places near by, and a lot from right here in Phoenix. I found Liesl Ast, Shannon Avery, Stacey Babbitt, Denise Bailey, Kristine Buschle, Chelsey Cole, Elizabeth Corey,Crystal Daniels, Stephen Dunn, JefferFrench , Chris George, Miranda Jackson, Sunny Jones Greg Lawson, Steven Malone, Randi Ormsby, Angela Seaman, Katherine Somers, Harmony Stidham and Sarah Waffle. To them, I say congratulations. And to future students- give it your best and you just might get recognized for your hard work by WHO'S WHO in America.
