Subject: Hello!
Hi!
Once you catch a glimpse of the e-mail address from which this is coming from, a couple of people in your staff might recognize it *grin* Ask Shawn Graham, Jen, and Zori.
My name's Alexis Ericta, and I'm the chief editor of Queen's Press of Notre Dame Academy right here in sunny California (or SUPER-sunny California depending if El Nino decides to torture us all over again). I've been in Journalism for three years, ever since NDA decided to start a paper. I worked in several "departments" for the QP: photography, layout, one of the staff reporters (I started out writing for the Entertainment column). I'm currently a senior in an all girls' school.
Now for the praise and adoration! :) I think it's really innovative, creative, and just downright cool to have a website dedicated to your school paper. The layout is  simple, practical, informative, and straightforward...just like what news articles should be in order to be effective. It reflects thought and dedication to what you do and it reflects the thought that the entire staff wants everyone in Cyberspace, which branches out all over the world, to read  and see what your viewpoints and opinions are about the world today or life (teenaged or other) in general. I would especially like to thank the person who wrote the "STOP..." article in the current issue. As a senior who stressed over the SAT's THREE TIMES, it's suffice to say that I really, REALLY needed that article!  *grin*
Well, that's all for now. BRAVO for the excellent work, and keep it up! For every praise and adoration you get, you all deserve it. :)

Sincerely,

Alexis Ericta
Chief Editor
Queen's Press, NDA

Subject: Message from an alumni
Dear Staff and Students,

Quite by accident I happened to run across your page and I am very impressed with the work being done! I am a 1974 graduate of PCS, former competition guard member in the "formative years" of the current program and am pleased to see the marching band prospering. As an art teacher who began my career at the E.J.Dillon Middle School, I will be encouraging my students and those in AP English at Frankfort - Schuyler Jr. - Sr. High to take a look at your page and hopefully motivate them to put our small student paper on line. This is a great way to link schools together and could possibly be used to encourage alumni to stay in touch.
Best of luck as you continue throughout the school year!
